Programs Administered by Utah Housing

Utah Housing utilizes a wide array of financing resources. Our assistance programs include federal and state grants, assistance. Utah Housing administers the Programs for the state according to the requirements of the state. Each program is unique with a specific purpose.

First-time Homebuyers Assistance Program (New Construction)

This Program provides funds to assist approximately 2,400 first-time homebuyers purchasing a newly constructed home. Up to $20,000 in Program funds may be borrowed to assist with down payment, buydown, and closing costs.

Utah First-time Homebuyer Law Enforcement Officer Grant

This program is to help recruit and retain Utah Law Enforcement and Correctional Officers in Utah.

Utah Homebuyer Veteran Grant

As of March 1, 2024, Utah Housing will no longer be able to accept applications for this program. Please check back in June for updates. Funds have been set aside for Veterans who have received a valid Certificate from the UDVMA.
